How It Works
Our production process is made-to-measure, allowing us to dedicate the time and attention needed to ensure quality, durability, and the perfect fit. Working with local tailors and producing in small quantities allows us to reduce waste, water use, and energy use, helping protect our environment. It's worth waiting for a lifetime of wear.

Stage 1 - Start by browsing our range of wardrobe staples, and select your classic ‘base’ to work with, before entering the customisation process. Using our digital configuration tool, you can customise the fabric, trims and details of your selected silhouette - allowing you to be creative and experiment with a piece that feels personal to you. You will also need to input certain measurements, depending on the garment type, which is sent to our tailors to create the perfect fit. This results in longer lead times, but reduced waste production by only creating what is needed.

Stage 2 - The size and product style are the core elements that will be sent to our sustainable factory, which will produce a semi-finished base silhouette for the particular style.
At this stage, the base silhouette will not yet be customised, and the seams have allowance.
Stage 3 - Objects of Wear works with a small atelier team who customise the garment using the specified fabrics and trims. They will also make any adjustments to the size depending on the customer’s proportions, and any customised hardware and trims will be added at this stage too.
Stage 4 - After sewing the design, the atelier will conduct an in-depth quality-check to ensure accuracy, before packing and sending it to the customer. Each product will have a different lead time depending on the complexity of the silhouette and fabric, but we aim for 6-8 weeks.
